Voor een betaalde functie op freelance basis (16u in de week) zoekt Page Not Found een PR & communicatiemedewerker.
Als communicatiemedewerker, speel je een belangrijke rol bij de positionering van onze stichting en zorgt voor het vergroten van de zichtbaarheid van de verschillende projecten en activiteiten van Page Not Found. Als PR-medewerker help je ons bij het opbouwen van onze professionele relaties.
BELANGRIJKSTE VERANTWOORDELIJKHEDEN:
• Opstellen en versturen van persberichten en nieuwsbrieven, en updating van de website;
• Beheren van advertenties en onze communicatiekanalen;
• Samenwerken met ontwerpers en fotografen om communicatiemateriaal te ontwikkelen;
• Ontwikkelen en onderhoud van perscontacten;
• Meedenken over en uitwerking van communicatiestrategieën en doelgroepen.
VAARDIGHEDEN EN COMPETENTIES:
• Je hebt minimaal twee jaar ervaring in een allround communicatiefunctie of je hebt een relevante opleiding afgerond op het gebied van marketing en communicatie;
• Je hebt uitstekende beheersing van de Nederlandse en Engelse taal, met antoonbare relevante schrijfervaring;
• Zelfstandig werken en een hands-on mentaliteit;
• Je hebt ervaring met fotografie en social media;
• Je toont begrip voor inclusie, diversiteit en representatie;
• Bij voorkeur woonachtig in (de omgeving van) Den Haag;
• Bij voorkeur ervaring binnen de cultuursector;
• Ervaring met Adobe Suite, WordPress, MailChimp is een pre.

VERGOEDING: We bieden een freelance werkovereenkomst op basis van 16 uur per week (0.4 FTE) voor €26,61 per uur (exclusief 21% BTW). Deze vergoeding is conform de (2024), zoals opgesteld in opdracht van De Zaak Nu.

WERKROOSTER: 16 uur op locatie. De functie vereist beschikbaarheid tijdens sommige avonden en weekenddagen vanwege ons programma van publieke activiteiten.

Office Manager

Page Not Found is looking for a dedicated and organised Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our space, manage volunteers, and support our activities. This role ensures the smooth functioning of our bookshop, office, and financial administration while assisting our directors.
Hours: 19 hours per week, on location
Location: The Hague
Compensation: €27,19 per hour (excluding 21% VAT)
Contract: Freelance (transitioning to salaried by 2026)

Key Responsibilities

Bookshop & Space Management

Handle book orders and shipping logistics.
Manage consignments, including contracts and follow-ups with publishers/artists.
Ensure the organization, shelving, and cleanliness of the space.
Maintain inventory, conduct stock checks, and restock as needed.

Office & Operations

Organize and schedule meetings (internal, external, team).
Maintain office supplies and ensure the workspace is well-equipped.
Oversee storage management for publications, exhibition materials, and operational supplies.
Respond to general inquiries (email, phone, walk-ins).
Draft and manage agreements with vendors, collaborators, and contractors.

Volunteer & Team Coordination

Assist with volunteer recruitment, scheduling, and training.
Provide guidance and act as the main point of contact between volunteers and directors.

Financial Administration & Bookkeeping

Handle cash counting and register reconciliation.
Process invoices, payments, and expense tracking.
Maintain communication with the bookkeeper/accountant for financial reporting.

Support for Directors

Assist in compiling data and documentation for funding reports and grant applications.
Support administrative tasks related to exhibitions, programs, and publishing activities.

Skills & Qualifications

At least two years of experience in a similar role (e.g., arts administration, bookshop or publisher operations).
Demonstrable experience with financial administration (bookkeeping, invoicing, tax regulations).
Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage but not required.
Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and representation.
Preferably based in The Hague or nearby.
Experience in the cultural sector is a plus.
Familiarity with contract law, nonprofit administration, or employment regulations is a plus.

Remuneration & Contract

Key Responsibilities

Public Engagement & Guided Tours

Organise and lead guided tours for visitors, volunteers, and special groups during exhibitions.
Adapt tours for different audiences (children, students, professionals, general public).
Train and mentor volunteers to confidently conduct tours when needed.

Educational Content & Communication

Write accessible and engaging content tailored to different audiences (e.g., children, educators, art professionals).
Develop educational materials, including video content for online platforms explaining Page Not Found’s mission, exhibitions, and programs.
Ensure that texts, labels, and online materials are clear, inclusive, and audience-friendly.

Accessibility & Inclusion

Monitor and improve the practical accessibility of the space, website, and educational materials.
Collaborate with experts to enhance accessibility (e.g., easy-read texts, subtitles, sign language availability).
Advise the directors on inclusive programming, ensuring diverse audiences are considered (e.g., neurodivergent visitors, physically disabled audiences).

Audience Research & Development

Conduct visitor surveys to assess engagement, accessibility, and experience.
Analyse feedback and suggest improvements for exhibitions, events, and outreach.
Develop audience engagement strategies with the team to reach underrepresented groups.

Community & Institutional Outreach

Build partnerships with schools for tailored visits, workshops, or long-term collaborations.
Strengthen relationships with local communities and cultural initiatives, ensuring Page Not Found remains an active cultural hub.
Develop and manage our neighborhood newspaper to expand community engagement.
Connect with universities and art academies to attract students and educators.

Multilingual & Cross-Cultural Engagement

Coordinate with translators or bilingual volunteers to improve language accessibility.
Explore innovative ways to engage non-Dutch and international audiences in The Hague.

Skills & Qualifications

At least two years of experience in a similar role (e.g., art education, mediation, outreach) and/or corresponding studies.
Demonstrable experience with accessibility and community engagement.
Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
Fluent in English and Dutch. Additional languages are an advantage.
Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and representation.
Preferably based in The Hague or nearby.
Experience in the cultural sector is a plus.
Experience with video content creation is an advantage but not required.

Key Responsibilities

Coordination & Communication with Artists

Liaise with artists regarding all aspects of their participation in Page Not Found activities.
Gather production needs and ensure requirements are met on time.
Facilitate contracts or agreements, where applicable.

Logistics & Administration

Manage shipments, including insurance, customs, and condition reports.
Handle loan forms and documentation for borrowed works or equipment.
Coordinate travel & accommodation for artists, ensuring clear itineraries.

Technical & Production Support

Source and rent/buy equipment & materials for activities.
Arrange technical assistance (sound, video, installation needs).
Ensure proper installation & deinstallation of artworks and setups.

On-Site Support for Activities & Exhibitions

Presence during events is expected for hands-on support.
Assist in artist and audience hosting, ensuring a welcoming experience.
Provide troubleshooting support for technical issues during events.

Storage & Space Organization

Maintain storage of technical materials and publications, ensuring organization and accessibility.
Oversee handling & care of artworks and installations in storage.

Book & Print Production

Coordinate with printers, ensuring deadlines and specifications are met.
Oversee proofing process and production logistics for books.

Skills & Qualifications

At least two years of experience in production, event coordination, or a related field. Experience in technical assistance, public event production, or festival organisation is highly valued.
Demonstrable experience of handy work and exhibition buildup.
General hands-on and solution-oriented mindset.
Fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.

Professional experience in a museum is an advantage but not required.
